  15.      _p_p_d_t_o_p_o_d parses a PPD (PostScript Printer Description) file and generates
  16.      an Impressario POD (Printer Object Database) file.

  18.      ppppppppddddttttooooppppoooodddd uses the files <lp_mode_filename>.config_template, .log_template
  19.      and .status_template files to generate the final Impressario
  20.      <lp_mode_filename>.config, .log and .status POD files.

  22.      If the <lp_mode_filename>.config_template file is not found
  23.      impressario_ppd_model.config_template is used as a default (same for the
  24.      .status and .log files).

  30.      specific since they contain information from a PPD file.

  32.      ppppppppddddttttooooppppoooodddd is normally invoked by /usr/lib/lputil when installing an
  33.      Impressario supported printer that uses the Impressario PPD driver.  This
  34.      is done to convert a PPD to a specific POD file using the POD template
  35.      files.   /usr/lib/lputil then installs the printer as an Impressario
  36.      driver using the generated POD files.

  38.      /usr/lib/lputil is not intended for general use.  ppppppppddddttttooooppppoooodddd is not
  39.      intended for general use.  To install an Impressario printer use the
  40.      Printer Manager tool or the mkcentpr(1M), mknetpr(1M), mkserialpr(1M) or
  41.      mkscsipr(1M) shell scripts.
